The Mind/Body Studio Center at Weymouth Club is one of the only health clubs on the South Shore to offer reformer Pilates.

Our one-on-one and small-group classes are held in a private, dedicated reformer studio, housing STOTT machines with towers, jump boards, boxes, rings, balls and more.

Reformer Pilates

Pilates is a way to build strength, flexibility and endurance—without risking injury or building bulk. This highly effective, no-impact method focuses on the core muscles that support and power the entire body. Get a balanced, aligned body that looks fit, feels revitalized and moves with ease.

How is reformer Pilates different than mat Pilates?

Reformer Pilates adds the twist of a special apparatus for more resistance. The reformer has a sliding carriage, foot bar, pulleys and springs. You do the exercises while lying down, standing, sitting or perched on the machine.

While mat Pilates primarily works the abdominals, the reformer works the legs and arms, as well as the core, for a more intense, full-body workout.

How is reformer Pilates different than mat Pilates?

Anyone who wants to improve their flexibility, core strength, endurance and posture, while sharpening mental awareness.

Also, many tennis players, golfers, skiiers and other athletes work out on a reformer to improve their game. It’s great for correcting muscle imbalances, improving body awareness, enhancing range of motion, and increasing core strength and stability.

How do I sign up?
